I took this picture a few years ago. Just downloaded the SD card. It was at the St Louis Museum of Transportation. I have tried to find it on line with no luck. Help please.

Looks like a bathtub with head lights!

The picture has a label

The picture has a label saying "Reading Black Diamond" and the site for St. Louis Museum of Transportation says the following :

Reading "Black Diamond"

Inspection engine

That is the rear of the Black Diamond.  It has been completely restored and is on display at the museum.  Back in the 1800's small inspection engines were fairly common.  Many of them were a small steam engine with a coach body on it and there were seats alongside the boiler.  This was a particularly small one.  Here is a better picture and some history.

Thanks!

I took the picture in 2008, It is hard to identify when it does not look the same. I guess i should take a better picture of the sign next time.

Again Thanks, John
