Anyone know more about the closing of the Trainlife site?  The back issues magazine copies resource was very valuable.

Bob, Looks like we're SOL.

Bob,

Looks like we're SOL. I raised the same question on this forum recently, and another member mentioned Trainlife admitting to problems, but it sounded as though the problems were of an IT nature. With the site gone, I suspect they simply ran out of money. It's too bad, as I found it an invaluable source, mainly for Lionel's Model Builder. I should have taken the time to download and save some of Frank Ellison's work they had. Now I'll have to depend on my faulty memory.

Perhaps Lionel will see fit to make Model Builder available on their site. As far as the other magazines they had in archive..............

back up

The site is back up again.  When I looked the other day, a "Go Daddy" page was there instead indicating that the domain was gone.  The images and magazine info is still not working.

Trainlife Forum is Active Again & Enhancements Coming

In a message from a TL friend Neal, who has spoken in person & emailed etc Dan Larson (who posted the technical difficulties message on TL),it was made clear that Exact Rail wants to keep the site active, restore photo postings, and even come up with other enhancements through 2014 & into 2015.

I'm glad it is to keep going, because I really value the camaraderie, mutual encouragement, and information.

Regards,

Graham
