Well, I got back from the WPM meet around 9PM PST last night. Was a new experience, lots of interesting stuff to look at, and the intermodal presentation was dead on. I shot around 250 photos. Met a few new people (including the guy who does the Q&A section of the Streamliner (UPHS's magazine). I got his email, going to get myself some more info towards my UP excursion fleet. Met a few guys who're interested in having me detail their Dash 9's too. Lots of oohing & awwing there. The detail re-work on mine impressed them the most. Handed out some Model Railroad Tips cards too. Discussed the detailing troubles of building the ES44DC I'm working on (I'll post it later on tonight). Also discussed the issues with finding an BNSF New Image ES44DC! TONS and TONS of nice raffle prizes. Didn't win one. The two younger kids won about 1/2 of the prizes!!! Was really hoping to win the Hobby Tote. Anyways, enough blabbering, here's 3 photos and a link to the rest.

Wow, that's some great modeling!

I love the prototype modelers meets! The models are always so well done and interesting.

Thanks for posting the link to all the photos, Josh.

Just curious ... anybody happen to mention MRH?

Not that I saw Joe. I was

Not that I saw Joe. I was planning to print some quick business cards to hand out, but I forgot. And here's what I bought (not to include the MPEX unit, as I did not shoot it while I was there).

Sorry about the formatting I still have not figured out how to trick the site.

There's something very wrong ...

Josh:

There's something very wrong with this site and how it's handling photos just dropped in from Photobucket.

For the time being, I've deleted all your photos in your previous post because they suddenly went huge and broke the site's CSS.

If photobucket will give you a photo size that's no larger than 700 pixels wide, that's what you need to use. This site automatically does a float left on all photos, so you need to size them to either be much smaller than 700 pixels wide so the float right text looks good - or you need to make your photos full width (circa 700 pixels). If photos get much over 600 pixels wide, the float right text looks pretty ugly.

You're supposed to be able to just grab the corners of any photos you paste in and simply resize them to fit the window, but it's not working with your photobucket photos - they suddenly went 1024 pixels wide in your post and totally broke this site's page. More research into how to fix things here on this site - in the meantime, try to use a photo size that's 700 pixels or less when you post photos here.

LATER NOTE: It could have been a glitch with my system ... I rebooted and things seem to be working good again. When you paste in photos, click preview and see how they look. If they're just a tad too large or too small, just resize them using the handles on the corner to get them the size you need them to be so they look good.

As threaded posts keep moving farther and farther to the right, you may need to drop the photos down under 700 pixels wide to get them to not go over the edge on the right.

Thanks

Thanks for the note. I was just using html to edit them down to 600px. Maybe if I do 700px? In any case, you can see all the photos in my photobucket.

Great photos there as well.

Great photos there as well. I noticed I missed a few models, or got lazy at times and did an over all shot... Robert's photos fill in where I missed.

I was inspired to do a BN GP39E when I saw Gordon's model in 2004.  I see he wasn't able to finish it....
