To All: I have never had this problem before. When I hit the icon for uploading photos the incorrect box comes up. I need the box for browsing, thus leading to an upload. Need help. Yours, Elvin Howland

Image Upload Change

It appears the Upload tab has been removed. The only means of uploading pictures now seems to be the old way using the MRH image database upload. That's a shame. The Upload tab was handy and I have exceeded my quota in the MRH database so without the Upload tab I will no longer be able to post images.

Oh oh!

I also noticed that "upload" tab was missing. I'm hoping that it can be reinstated.

What am I missing?

Dear MRHers,

Maybe it's the inverted gravity down here,
but I've always uploaded pics via the "My Account"> "File Browser" tab,
and it appears to be still there and working?

2 ways to skin a cat

Prof, that method has always been there. Some time back Joe added an Upload tab to the image icon window. The Upload tab allowed you to upload images in many fewer keystrokes. The penalty for using the Upload tab is you can't reuse the same image multiple times on MRH. Images stored in the method you describe can be reused multiple times without re-uploading.

And as I mentioned earlier, for users that have used up the allotted space on the MRH database, the Upload provided a means of continuing to upload more images.

Hummm...

I can use the image icon then there is a "browse server" button that opens my image space and there is an upload button. However I am sure that is subject to the size limitations mentioned Mike and Allen, et al.re al.

Given that pictures are very important here, I have to agree with Bill.... The sky is falling! I don't want to miss out on images from Allan, Mike and all the others who post many great pictures of their work.

Upload tab is back

We're working on a minor bug fix upgrade to this site and the editor threw an error, and it recommended two choices to resolve the problem - we picked the first one not realizing the side effect was losing the upload tab. So we opted to go with choice two instead, giving us the upload tab back.

...for the forums.  Not sure how you ever have time to do everything that you do Joe.  Are you sure you don't borrow some of Michael's elves (From Florida) from time to time to help keep up with things!

Another great job Joe. It is amazing to me that a free site like yours that provides so much value to those of us that are here is so quick to fix errors, omissions, and technical issues that crop up. By comparison the places that are getting paid and in the internet business have problems and they go on for days or sometimes much longer.

I will continue my subscription, and more importantly to your advertisers continue to look at their products and services before anyone else's. If you like you can quote me to any of them or all of them or print this as an endorsement of your site. You folks have been great for all the years that I have been here.
