DCC upgrade + component tweaks

Dear Mike,

As long as they've taken steps to remedy the splitting bevels (both truck and cross-box) and Uni components, it should be a winner...
(I know a number of On30 modellers have been hanging out for the return of this model...)

Happy Modelling,

Bait and Oh by the Way?

A $399 Climax Quasinami - just add $150 ($75 on the street) for a P&P Sound Module! That is $40 to $75 more for just sound than the price of a real SoundTraxx Tsunami, TCS WOW, QSI Titan or several other good sound decoders. I wonder if they are going to offer them at a reasonable price without DCC? The three truck Climaxes are available on the street for $199 with Sound and $149 without Sound.  Yes you will probably have to spend a little to fix the drive problems, but Batchmann has the generally had the repair parts in stock.

Bachmann seems to love to shock with their MSRP...

Bachmann has for as long as I can recall a MSRP quite a bit higher than what you can find if you shop around.  I just checked and their suggested price for the 3-truck Climax is $419 w/out sound.

Think I'll stick
