In this part I've started the roofing on the work shop portion of the engine shed and put together the stove pipe for the shop.

I used corrugated metal for the roof material, from Northwestern scale lumber. I first cut it into scale 4' x 8' sheets. The easiest way I found to do this was to score it with my hobby knife and then with a metal ruler held along the score bend the metal back and forth a few times until it breaks along the score. I used CY glue to attach the roofing material as tacky glue would not stick to the smooth metal surface very well.

I then put a couple of coats of barn wood acrylic paint to knock the shine down. it's a brown/gray in color. Will be adding to the weathering later in the project and this is a good base coat.

Next I assembled and painted the stove pipe for the shop. the pipe kit I purchased is made by Tichy Train Group #8141. It comes with 4 sets of the basic pipe and bottom flashing. The top I added to this was part of the Grandt Lines smoke jack kit for a shorter stove pipe and it fit the top of this perfectly, for a nice finish.

And here's a image of the pipe just set in place. Will glue it later after finishing the main roof. The Main roof will be in the next update as I've run out of roofing material and am waiting for more in the post. Hope you've enjoyed the project so far more to come.
