I've managed to finish up the painting and start some assembly now. I also found a solution to hide my paint creep problem on the two tone paint job.

First image painted window and door frames and trim pieces.

Next image I'm installing the main engine doors framing. I wanted to show this because the top cross piece provided is too long and you'll have to trim it to fit. I originally thought maybe it belongs on the outside of the opening but I did a test fit of the doors and there was too big of a gap that way.

Door and window frames installed. You can also see my sloppy paint line where the green meets the white.

This image shows my fix for the paint line, by using some scale 2 x 4 stock lumber.

You also have to pay attention to the window frames as they have a beveled edge to fit the in the openings. So don't try to insert them backwards.

Next two images show the back and one of the sides with window frames installed.

Next update will be window installation and wall assembly. I've also ordered the Grandt line smoke jack set and their stove pipe set. The kit comes with a brick chimney but I want to swap it out for a stove pipe. Hope you are enjoying this.

...

I like the fix.  You may look into seeing how the boards look in green, though...
