First, I'm loving TMTV. That being said, the site really needs a way to go back to a previous page without returning to the main page. For instance when watching a multipart segment, ops live for example, after each ~5 min segment I have to go back to the main screen, find ops live in operations then select the next segment. There doesn't appear to be anyway to navigate back up the tree. Now maybe it's because of the device I use to watch but it's a pain in the butt. I'm using a iPad 2 on safari. Brad

Safari

Safari does have a back button that should work for going back to the previous page on TMTV after viewing and episode.

Safari does, TMTV does not

I agree, the video is great, the web interface on Safari, IE, or Chrome is lacking some typical navigation features. I'll take top quality video over top notch web interface, but the existing interface could use some pretty basic improvements for user friendliness. Dave

Agreed.

I agree, the TMTV website could use some better navigation.

It would totally make sense to me for any series to have an auto advance mechanism. When the first video stops, a message should come up...

          [ Go Back ]  [ Play Next ]
the next video plays in 5... 4... 3...

right click?

All you should need to do is right click on the link, and select open in new tab, then the old page is still there and you can watch the video, and then select the old tab to go back.

hold the control key as you

hold the control key as you LEFT click the link and it should open the link in a new tab as well.

on an iOS device

Just hold the link and you should get a menu to open in a new tab. (there is no right click in iOS)

We'll add the extra navigation

We'll look at adding the extra navigation soon - will let you know when it's there.

What we would be adding is a back button below the video to do the same thing your browser back button does, and also add a next button when there's another video segment following the one you're watching.

Always aim to please!

Speaking of TMTV, we've got a big TMTV announcement coming in July ... stay tuned!

Is this what you meant?

Check out the June Act I video player page for a back button.

Also, check out the two Confalone segments on the terrain and rocks - have both a back and a next video on each video player. If you're on the alternate player, then the next video button takes you to the next alternate player video - so we try to stay with the player you are on.

Anyhow, let us know if this is what you meant.

Back & Next Buttons

The next button works as expected, but the back button could be replaced with a link to that series' index.

Rather than going "back" in history from Video 5 to Video 4, I think the goal was to go to the index ( ie: scenery-modeling-casting-blending-and-coloring-rocks )

Okay done

Okay, the back button now goes back to the master video page, next goes to the next video in the series (staying with the player version you are currently on).

Does that do it, then?

Watched tag

A  "Watched" tag on videos you have already seen.   With all the content on MRHTV sometimes I download a video only to discover I have watched it.
