This part of the build is on Roofing the two buildings. One has a rolled roof and the other has slate shingles. If you missed the other parts of the build they can be found on my Blog here:  https://forum.mrhmag.com/journals-was-blogs-891775

We’ll start with the right hand ware house building first. It has a rolled roof on it. The material in the kit is peal and stick and comes in white, so I first mixed up some acrylics to achieve the color I felt looked good for this. I mixed Barnwood with a few drops of Asphalt. The barnwood is a light brown grayish color and when mixed with the asphalt it blended quite well. First Pic shows some of the roofing with a couple of coats on it. the piece laying above it is the unpainted roof material. You have to do light wash coats so it does not fill and hide the nail hole detail.

This pic shows placing the material on the card stock roof. Guide lines came in handy.

This pic shows card stock roof panel completed and trimmed.

Roof installed on ware house.

A pic of the nail hole detail.

Starting the Shingle roof for the left hand building. This was a tedious process but went well. I suggest when you do this to put a fresh blade in your hobby knife to keep from tearing the shingles, when trimming. This roof has two sections to do.

Left side of roof covered.

Both sides covered.

Shingles trimmed.

This portion of roof installed. If you look at the picture in the background you’ll get an idea what I’m modeling on my layout. Notice the name on the box car.

Starting the next section of the shingle roof.

Shingles trimmed on first side.

Roof section installed. I glued some single shingles on the front seam to cover it.

A few pics of test fit of the project on my first section of shelf. The roof line looks crooked in the pics but it's actually straight.

Next time will be adding front loading dock and overhangs. Hope you enjoyed it.

this looks amazing... is it

this looks amazing... is it just me or do the images on here make the roof look like it has a dip in the middle where the front and side sections all meet up?  Probably the angles playing tricks on my eyes though.
