Looks like it was a temporary

Looks like it was a temporary outage of some sort.  I see ads back on here again after seeing that same sort of outage this morning.

Bluehost again

Bluehost again ... signing the new ISP hosting agreement this week with ANOTHER web provider who hosts on Amazon's infrastructure (some of the best in the business now), then will be moving off Bluehost. Can't move soon enough now that their rock solid uptime reputation is totally gone. When they were acquired, the new management starting cutting corners (per an off-the-record post by one of their sys admins), and now their careful testing of changes and their redundant infrastructure has been scaled back.

When will management learn that you can't take over a successful company and then change how they're run and expect it to just keep going like nothing has changed? Stop monkeying with a well-run business!

I would call it profit

I would call it profit taking. Many times you see something like this done profits go up bonuses go up and then the company fails. The new managers are nothing but liquidators enriching their own pockets. After they ruin the company the stock holders are left holding the bag and the employees that lost their jobs don't even have a bag. Sad to see things like this going on.

I differentiate that from profit earning which is sustainable and produces growth and prosperity. I have seen lots of businesses that this has happened to which were very successful until new ownership or management arrived that did not have any skin in the game.
