This another of the Great Layout in the Northwest AR area.  John R Farrell's PRR & RRR railroads are great examples of excellence in model railroading. This model rr is part of Hograils Group. John passed away, Oct 2014.

Another nice video Art

Nice video, it would likely be a bit better if a few of the guys would step back out of the way when you are doing the video. I noticed one individual that seemed to take great pleasure in being in the way. I am guessing he is one of the people I come up behind in the fast lane doing 15 to 20 miles per hour under the speed limit.

Nice video very interesting layout and very well done with backdrops and scenery. In another thread the op wanted to know whether he should model the hills three d or with a back drop. He could certainly watch this video and see examples that would a;w him to decide what looked right regarding the hills in Pa.

Unknow Final Visit

When I shot this video in May did not know John was sick. He passed away in Oct 2014, one great modeler.

I am sorry to hear that

I am sorry to hear that Arthur. The man built a very fine looking railroad and was gracious enough to invite folks into his home to see it and operate it. Although I have never met him other than as the subject of one of your videos please express my condolences to his family, people like him will be missed.

Sad News

I was saddened to hear of John's Passing. His is a great layout and I just loved his collection of Gauge One locomotives, Being a Pennsy modeler I was very jealous.  I was privileged to operate on his layout and it ran as good as it looked.

His layout room had probably the best view of any model railroad I have visited!
