I purchased the URTX version (ref 121009-3) on a whim as it does not fit my San Ramon branch line operations. (A full load of hams shipped to Walnut Creak is way after my 1950's era.).  The product has not yet been reviewed in any publication I could find so I am wondering if others who might have bought one of these cars would be interested in sharing comments.

My first impression is that this car is heavier than any other RTR car I have bought.  I don't have a postal scale so cannot weigh it. The detail appears excellent. However the ice hatches are molded in shut position into the roof. The trucks are very free rolling and include separate brake shoe detail. All grab irons are separate as are the door latching mechanisms.

I am not an expert on the livery so I would like comments on how close it is to what was lettered on a 1937-40 built car. Mine is numbered URTX 68036. I do not have a picture yet and it would look a little out of place on my only semi-working layout which is the Padstow England Southern Railway terminus of the North Cornwall line.

(I know it is spelled Creek but given the age/attitude of many residents I prefer the alternate spelling)
