I've been making progress on my ACW layout with a little help from my brother. It's almost time to build the big truss bridge over Potomac Creek. I am really looking forward to this project. Here is a shot of the gap the bridge must cross. More photos at http:usmrr.blogspot.com

Looking Forward To This Project

Me too!

That's going to be a fabulous scene Bernie.  Can't wait to see the bridge coming together.

bridge scene

If you have the facilities and are not too far along on this scene I urge you to take a series of pictures from the same viewpoint showing the construction and scenicing in stages.  This would make a nice animation or static sequence showing how to build from the foam up.

Nice work - I am waiting to see the bridge.

Stone Plasticard For Bridge Abutments

Bernie -

I saw your styrene "stone-clad" bridge abutments, and was able to find the mfgs (Gale Force 9) website, but they do not seem to carry that particular product on their own site! Any help, even if its the name of the store you bought it from in Virginia, is appreciated.

Thanks, Bernie.......Gonna give them a call, I just used foam to create an abutment, too, and this looks like it'll work just fine, as it did for you, too.
