I am looking for photos of rolling stock & Diesels from the 1950's thru the early 1960's.  If anyone out there knows a specific web site that would have these & could share it, that would be great! 

The road names I am looking for primarily are Northern Pacific, Spokane Portland & Seattle, & Great Northern.  I need some "go bys" for weathering and lettering.

You may want to have a look at the Fallen Flags site.  Just scroll down until you find the alphabetic index and click on the first letter of the road name, then find and click on the road name you are looking for.

This site has s good collection of photos for many roads.

Historical Photos

All three of the railroads you mention have websites maintained by historical societies. You are just a google away from getting all the lettering help you need to do these roads proud. The Northern Pacific has been a favorite of mine for years along witht the Great Northern. I also own ex-SP&S Alcos in 1:1 scale. They are almost done being rebuilt from the rails up and may return to service soon.
