FWIW my father in law was an executive at Tracy Baker and Baker Drive Away in the 1950s before he went to Baltimore in 1958/59 to handle the importation of Renault Dauphins on the Inner Harbor. He later went to the Chrysler plant in Newark, Delaware where he was VP of DelRel in charge of taking cars from the plant for storage and release to auto transporters and loading on the railroad.

My wife is probably one of the few women who has a 1950s style auto carrier as shown in the article in her toy .collection.

When I went back to college in the 1970s I drove cars into the storage yard and loaded them on the railroad bilevels and trilevels.
