Hi All I got a Proto 2000 GP 38 with soundtraxx dsd-ll10lc decoder. Engine has been sitting for years. I took it out and put it on the track nothing. I have an NCE system so I went to check things out on the program track. Reentered the address and then had sound. But no movement. Went into program mode again and it would not accept any starting voltage or top end any thoughts? thanks Geoff

Make sure the wires to the decoder are all connected.

Unless you soldered them, they are probably connected with the plastic clips. With it sitting for a while, the copper can corrode and break the connections. The sound but not motor power indicates that the decoder was getting power. The other connections seem to be erratic. Typical for these clip on wires. Larry

Have you tried resetting the decoder to factory default?
