In a back issue, I believe it was July of 2011, I seen an article on lumber loads for center beam flats.  The author had downloads you could print for HO and N scale.  I tried to print the HO scale, but it wasn't right.  Is there specific instructions for printing items from the mag. that the author offers for downloading?

OK, so I found the back

OK, so I found the back issue, then went to the "subscriber extras" found the download,  learned how to extract zip files. Got it.  Issued resolved.

on the menu...

On the menu at the top of this page....  Click Magazine, then Subscriber-only extras
