Eugene Griffin EGRX

A quick introduction.

Model railroading took a hiatus for a few decades, until a chance visit to a Florida hobby shop and a purchase of a Athearn USRA 2-8-2 rekindled the hobby. Two false starts and then a small HO scale 2' X 8' freelance shelf switching layout took hold. Thankfully, all those blue box kits followed me through the decades.

The freelance layout grew and filled a small bedroom. Until two years ago I switched my last car on the HO scale and tried my hand at 2-rail O scale. Mostly to attempt hand laying track and turnouts.

Now after seeing so many modern era layouts, with great scenery and knowing my scenery skills are lacking, I decided the HO scale freelance should be rebuilt to a match a modern era short line prototype the Kelowna Pacific Railway (KPR).

This photo shows the first scene completed.
