Other than being a really cool portable workbench system, I think the main part with it's flip up table, shelf and rolling storage would make an awesome system to build a Fremo staging yard on top of.

I would do it with just ballast and ground cover, no buildings.  You'd have a super stable platform to attach other modules to, and storage for the cords, DCC system, throttles.  If I could figure out a way to use drawer glides to allow the top to slide side to side and still latch in place, it would be nifty to have a traversing staging yard.

Plans are here;   http://www.benchworks.be/tipstricks.html

What do you guys think?  Doable?

Wow!

As a wood worker with limited space I'd love to see this sort of thing in action.  And I agree, you could incorporate it it into the FreeMO concept easily.  The drawers would make for great car and loco storage, not to mention you could dedicate the bottom one to storing the Digitrax power supply and command station (after drilling appropriate ventilation holes.  the t-track add-ons would also be a neat (if not totally spec) way to add modules.

Festool

Festool is one of the best brand of power tools that you can buy. They are excellent !! They are very expensive and I mean expensive, but if you do a lot of wood work you will definitely will get your money worth out of it.
