I built that website 15 years ago, and maintained if for many years, I am familiar with it

...and in fact, the image in my post is a screen shot from that page.

I also know that it is possible that these are not actually 1:87. Promotex is known for selling other companies items under it's own brand. (Herpa, T&S, Roco, the list goes on.)

So I am asking, does anybody know who made these? and are they any good?

Construction vehicles.....

...... come in many sizes that very often look like blown up and/or scaled down versions of an original piece. Check the cab size, if it looks right with a figure in your scale you are in good shape. Jose.

Case and New Holland Construction Equipment

Bill, I found these on eBay a few months ago from vendors out of Hong Kong and Europe. They appeared to be similar to the Motorart 1/87th scale Volvo and JCB equipment released a few years ago. I purchased the Case demolition excavator and a New Holland excavator. Unfortunately, the quality is much lower than the Motorart models (and thus the price). These could be the same just rebranded as you mentioned in your last comment. The boxes indicate the models were made in China for Hobby & Work Publishing in Italy. Here is the web site I found:   http://www.hobbyeworkpublishing.it/opere/hobby/macchine-movimento-terra

Needless to say I was disappointed as the other models on their web site appear to be the Volvo models that were released/branded by Boley, Motorart and most recently Atlas.

The models would be fine for background or a basis for kit bashing.

Thanks for the info Jason. I'd say from looking at the photos that these are indeed the same models.

I appreciate the info.
