I have found that the Switch Wire supplied in the package is way too stiff and strong for small scale turnouts, and applies too much force to the rails and ties, often leading to broken solder joints on hand laid turnouts.

SO, I experimented a little and came up with a very simple solution to the problem.  See the attached PDF file for the details.

What you said. The supplied wire is (I think) .039, and drilling the hole practically cuts the throw bar in half. I substituted .032, and that's working OK. I even built a little styrene jig to guide the bending.

I hadn't thought about the slop of the wire at the other end, in the Bullfrog rocker, though that may be less of a problem with my slightly larger wire.

I should work up a post about trying to install crossover kits .
