To All: Today I present a 52 foot Texas South-Eastern RR Boxcar. I scratch built the car using Evergreen Styrene and wood Z bracing. It has full under body details, including brake components. Also I installed coupler cut bars & air hoses. The basis for the model is a photo in a rolling stock book. The photo depicted a clean car so I did not weather it. The car was used by Trinity Industries to transport particleboard, fiberboard and plywood, thus the use of double doors. I sealed the paint and decals with dull coat. The decals were custom made for me by Ricky Rupp of Modern Rails Company. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout

Beautiful!

Nice car! I have a similar project that I'm looking at, and I was wondering what to used for the bracing. The wood looks good!
