I have a collection of 100 Shinohara switches in a box.  All have the aged/corrosion appearance to the rail, all are used and some still have some ballast attached between the rails.

With so many, can I drop those into a sonic cleaner to renew/polish?  Has anyone done this?

Give it a Shot

Go ahead and give it a shot, Den.  Throw in a couple and see what happens.

If it works, let us know 'cause I need to do that also.

I know it depends on make as

I know it depends on make as well, but I reclaimed all of my Peco Streamline Code 83 #6 turnouts when I tore down my last layout.  I soaked them in warm water and TSP for a few hours, then used a soft bristle brush on them....carefully, but persistently.  They all came out very clean and free of any ballast or glue.
