Welcome MRH - This is so awesome, a true hobby site with some of the most talented modelers behind the scenes. You would have to go to those boring YAHOO groups to discuss a lot of this material. I have two favorite sites, Railwire and now MRH. I am modeling the SP circa 1985 on the West Side Line from Fresno to Kerman. I am getting so much information and tidbits already in the infancy of this site. Being a fan of Joe and Bernie's work, I can wait for the formulation of this site to achieve it's mass. Thanks and best of continued success.

Thanks, Chuck

Thanks for your kind words, Chuck.

My vision for this site is to finally use the internet the way it should be used to connect and communicate about the hobby of model railroading.

If we can bring modelers around the globe together by providing high quality internet content for the hobby (including engaging video, audio, and 3D virtual reality rich medai) - then sell that global audience to the hobby vendors, we should have a real win-win.

I'm not into the advertising junkyard that some internet sites have become, so we'll be helping advertisers advertise with us in a helpful and informative way so as to not totally annoy our readers.

We're also looking to build a site that more advanced hobbyists and beginners alike will want to make as a favorite haunt. Adding in a google searchable rich media publication that's professionally edited and is free should add that extra level of high quality content that's missing from many of the other model railroading "forum" sites.

In a very real way, we're reinventing hobby publishing for the 21st century with this venture. It will be interesting to see how well it does - I'm guessing that if we do our job right, it should do well indeed. We've already had over 14,000 unique visitors to this site - we're less than two months old and don't even really have a product yet.

The early response to MRH is very encouraging ...
