Well for now the Backdrop painting is halted so I can get Trains rolling. I decided to get away from the paint for awhile. 80 feet of Back Drop can drive one to madness when your main interests are trains and not acrylic paint. So on Sunday the 31st of August I started measuring laying out and drawing the Ridgway Station area and yard on the table top. Monday I realized I own 17 Shinohara Narrow Gauge left and right hand turnouts and I needed to cut gaps on both sides of every Frog in order to make then DCC ready. So as I lay the tracks, align the areas under the table where the switch machines will be mounted and drill the Holes for the switch actuator links I cut the Gaps in the turnouts as I go. Some day I may buy a movie camera but for now I have no film of the trains rolling. Now I have gotten my "Fasts Tracks" Duel Gauge switch building Fixture for the Duel Gauge Main line For the D&RGW portion of my railroad. best thing about this fixture is I can build Standard gauge or Narrow Gauge or Duel Gauge #6 Turnouts a 3 in one Fixture. well I'm off to work I take some photos as soon as I get the yard area tracks down and operating.
