I apologize for the blatant self-promotion. This weekend I'll be presenting at the 2013 St Louis RPM Meet. The clinic is scheduled for Friday morning at 10:30, and will detail how I create expanded scenery on narrow benchwork.

It's titled, "Endless Horizon on the Grimes Line"

Hope to see you there,
James

No apology needed

James, I am sure most of the readers here recognize your skills and ability to share your knowledge on this subject. I wish I could be there, but, alas, no high speed rail service yet from Southern California to St. Louis. I will be looking for some results from your clinic presentation. Very clever titling, by the way.

Looking forward to your clinic

Hi James

I am planning to be there and have been looking forward to your presentation.  I have admired your entries here on MRH and hope to learn some of your methods.  I live about 2.5 hours south of St. Louis (halfway between St. Louis and Memphis), so will have to get up REAL early to get there.  I predict a need for  "mass quantities"  of coffee!  Unfortunately, I will only be able to be at the Friday meetings, but your scheduling works great for me.

See you Friday

Exit... Stage Left

Thanks everyone!

Hopefully I won't embarrass myself in the process, but I'm looking forward to this weekend.

Nah!

You'll do great James.  I expect modelers to flock to the IAIS after this weekend.

No pressure though.

James, you know what you are

James, you know what you are talking about so it should be pretty easy. If your dealing with stage fright, eat 1/2 pound of coffee, wash er down with a couple of red bulls. That will get you so buzzed, you'll want to talk until midnight !

Good luck and best wishes for a successful clinic.

Randy

TrainMasters...

It seems like coverage of a clinic like James is presenting, would make for an interesting episode of TrainMasters! It would be an excellent way of sharing these types of focused, high interest, content rich presentations to a much broader, national audience. It would also provide the presenter with some well deserved broad recognition!

I missed your clinic, James

I missed your clinic, James (rats)! It was one I had taken note of that would be a good one. It was a great meet, though. I had never been to an rpm meet, so there was a lot to take in. For those who have never attended St. Louis or any other rpm meet, I would highly recommend it.

Missed it as well

James, my flight didn't get in until Friday evening so I couldn't be there for the presentation unfortunately.  It was also my first RPM and I was blown away at the level of modeling displayed.  Mike, it was nice meeting you...your scratchbuilt cars are just incredible!

Great Backdrop Photo

James,

Great photo selection for the sky background.  Good editing cropping it in.

Nice meeting you too, Kevin.

Nice meeting you too, Kevin.  Your stuff was way cool!  I'll be needing input on weathering that 86 footer when the time comes.

Also missed your clinic

Hi James

I also missed your clinic.  Yours was one of the two I really wanted to see.  This was also my first RPM and I was waiting for them to announce that you were starting, but there was no announcement.  I walked in just as you were closing your presentation.  It was nice to meet you afterwards though as you were leaving the room.

Late

OK I am a bit confused here. I JUST received my copy of the magazine and there is a discussion of the St. Louis RPM meet, that was held LAST week!  Did my copy arrive late? I mean I knew about it already (my layout was on the Friday tours) but I was wondering why the information was so late?.
