Two weeks ago I placed my first order with Litchfield Station. My internet order was easy to make and as expected, I received a prompt auto generated email acknowledging my order. As I live in New Zealand I new it would take some time for the order to arrive.  However, after two weeks and as I hadn't  received any confirmation that my order had been shipped I sent a grumpy email asking what had happened.  At this point I started to wonder about the good reviews I had seen on this forum

Unbeknown to me Litchfield had sent me an email (never received) a day after the order was placed saying that they were one item short and asking if it was OK to hold dispatch until the item had arrived. Had I known that I would have understood.

In less than 12 hours I had a very gracious response to my grumpy email. Suffice to say I was very impressed with the response and my faith in Litchfield has been totally restored.  I would now recommend them to anyone.

Good on you!

Peter,

Thank you for putting in a good word concerning that hobby shop. It takes a real man of the hobby to tell everyone, not only about being "grumpy", but that the whole thing came to a great ending. With the economy the way it is over here, a good word goes a long way.

I see too many complaints from folks around the web who whine about everything in our hobby but never come around with a good word (just let someone skip a rivet on a new loco and watch the arm chair venom fly!).

On the other hand, this whole website seems very positive overall, and that makes me glad to be a part of it.

Anywho, I was impressed with your comments. Thanks for sharing.
