They Work, but...

  A friend bought some - they are smaller and work fine.  However, there are a couple of points to consider:

• Cost - They do cost a lot more.
• Current draw - They draw more current, and really are not suitable for series in-line LED installs like with the Tortoise motor.  They draw 20-30 ma and my friend has fried some LED's.  The Tortoise motors draw 17-18 ma and are well within the limits of most bi-color LED's.
