Road trip to Rocky Ops this past weekend to run trains.  Three videos to follow in coming weeks.  But to end the discussion about sky please note why I say I have a Blue Sky railroad.  This should save you a lot of time painting your Sky. Light at the bottom and dark at the top.  This makes it very Simple.

Blue skies

A perfect example of a clear blue sky. Perfect for the sky backdrop on my layout. Am goig to start with this and gradually change to a threatening sky sky as you go around the layout.

Now if I can only get the effect to come out close to this great pix. Thanks Art!

God's Best and Happy Rails to You!

Art,

I was Trainmaster for the BN at Trinidad, Co. from 1986 – 1992. I drove by that site many times going to Des Moines, NM and Texline, Texas. One day I was hi-railing with the Superintendent and he ask me what I would like to see (reference to improvements at Trinidad). I said “I would like to see Trinidad out my review mirror”.  I was in Trinidad for three more years!!

Be Careful of What You Ask For

Their was only three hoppers on a team track in yard the day we went by. No more work in Trinidad for BNSF. Trains all come or go through Clayton. Feed lot in Clayton is gone. 87 is four lane all the way to dumas cut off.
