I am not sure how many modelers and railfans are familiar with the "Age of Steam Roundhouse" project going on in Ohio. A new roundhouse, shop, and recently a storehouse have been built, all using vintage design. If you subscribe you receive periodic updates with many photos of the step-by-step construction of the two-plus year project. Although modern construction techniques are used, they have been careful to create structures that would be at home 'way back in the age of steam power.  It is very impressive and brings to mind many ideas; for instance, the new "storehouse" could also have been a freight station for a medium-sized city.

I'm a subscriber. I'm quite impress with their project.

I'm very curious as to why. I'm thinking they are going to build something. Could it be a steam locomotive? Plus the money spent so far is astounding.

I can't wait to see were it ends up in the future.

I doubt he is going to build anything new, but it wouldn't surprise me if he got into rebuilding locomotives for profit. He has one of the best private collections in the US, and the locomotives that are not in operating condition look like they will eventually be made operational. I'm hoping that soon he will find a way to start running excursions again. ....Mike
