Thank you, Joe, for creating the steam loco topic. This will make it easier, once people figure out it's here and how to use/access it, to have a place to discuss steam locomotives.

Though I'm sure this will primarily be about model steam locos, I figured it wouldn't hurt to start with a photo of a real one.

I was up at Railtown 1897 in CA this past weekend. First time I've been there. Really enjoyed it and took a bunch of photos. Here's one of #3, the only steam loco currently running there. It's world famous. If you've seen Back To The Future III, you've seen #3.

I have it in HO

Jim,

I have an HO version of that Rogers locomotive on my layout, the Hill Valley and Thistle Railroad.  Although this may not be the greatest photo.  Need to replace the D&RGW with my logo.

Go figure.
