I'm getting ready to pack for our delayed honeymoon (Peggy and I joined hands on November 24th) to Switzerland on June 10th. Through the auspices of a generous gift from my mother-in-law, we will be taking a RAIL TOUR of the country for 2 weeks. The "Road Scholar" tour will include talks by railway personnel and some inside looks at everything from interurban to cog railways.

Has anyone been there before and have suggestions as to things to photograph or not to miss? I was stationed in Europe back in the early 60's and again in the early 70"s but only got the  chance to pass through the country on my way to other duty stations.

I'm really happy that my wife is indulging my love of trains (including giving up part of our basement for my layout) as we could have settled on a cruise or some other type of foreign tour. I don't model any European style trains, but good ideas can come from anywhere, so I'm really looking forward to this round-robin tour of the country by rail.

Hopefully, I'll be able to share something other than two people standing in front of a sign type photo with everyone on our return.
