I would like to get the position of Brake Gear correct on all my stock (HO)

I recently acquired an old Roundhouse Products kit (it came boxed but in the oldest design of Roundhouse box I have seen here in the UK Yellow and Black) of a 60' Bulkhead Flat Car 1312 Western Pacific with running # WP 1404

I already have a few Bulkhead Flats and examining how other modelers have assembled them what a difference of opinion I found and therefore would like to put them all right

I also have a Athearn Bulkhead Flat from their ready to roll range I think that they got the Brake Gear in the correct positions however the Roundhouse instructions conflict with the Athearn model

I can describe what I think is correct and as per the Athearn model the B end is the one with hand brake wheel and on the model there is a square molding embossed on the outer bulkhead with the flat in the upright position and looking directly at the hand brake wheel the Air Reservoir is on the Right hand side of the flat with the single Lug facing out (I think this is the auxiliary reservoir half of the tank) the 2 lugs face inwards (emergency reservoir other half of the tank?) On the left side of the flat is the brake cylinder with the piston facing towards the hand brake wheel and beyond that  is the triple control valve the Athearn model is more elaborate than the Roundhouse component the later has one pip at one end and two pips at the other I presume these pips are inlets / outlets I am not sure of correct positioning of this valve other than the hole Roundhouse have for it behind the brake cylinder

I would appreciate any help with this subject and maybe its a good idea for an informative article in MRH
