Geared

Hello everyone, I'm looking for instructions for the MDC Sand  & Gravel Hoppers. I have five of them in kit form that I picked up some time ago and am finally getting around to building them, but without instructions. The basic car is easy to get together, but putting the small mechanism parts together without instructions is going to be pretty difficult.

If anyone has a sheet of instructions that they could fax, email, or mail to me I'd be eternally grateful.

Thanks for any and all help.

The Joy of the MDC 3-in-1 kits...

Dear Roy,

Thankfully, not just you and I have love for those older MDC "3-in-1" kits. As a young modeller, I cut my teeth kitbashing and assembling the flat and woodchip cars, they're a great study in basic careful kit assembly giving a very-satifying result, at what-was a fantastic price. For the newcomer to car (wheelset/truck/coupler) tuning, they were a forgiving way to learn. And for the exhibition layout, they were a cost-effective way to equip a large fleet of log cars...

Oh, and the "ideas pages" included were a wealth of "my first scratchbuild" inspiration,
not to mention very-do-able HOn3/HOn30 conversions...

Sorry, I'll get off the "trip down memory lane" soapbox now...

Anywho, where was I? Oh yes, other people appreciate these kits too.

Exactly

Exactly what I was looking for, Prof. I'd seen this site before but couldn't for the life of me remember where or what its name was. Thank you very much.
