To All: Some photos of Chicago on Dave Capron's Great Lakes Northern RR in Suttons Bay, Michigan. He is in the process of arranging the buildings and making mockups. He always tries different combinations before settling on a permanent placement of his buildings. He does plan to have buildings at the end of all the streets to act as view blocks. I built most of the structures and vehicles in the photos. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout

What? No "El?"

Dave's right, no "El"?

Good looking start for the City of Chicago but something is missing.

Having been born in the late 50's in the Chicago area it was nearly impossible to not to encounter the "El" when you were downtown. The Chicago "Loop" was defined by the elevated system encircling Downtown.

Yes those columns made for some interesting maneuvers from truck drivers and some nasty wrecks.

CNW early 60's Boone Iowa "how to compress "Kate Shelly High Bridge"?" or do it all?

Windy City

I'd have to agree about the L columns everywhere downtown, but you're off to a great start!   Almost need to put my jacket on because of that breeze off the lake, LOL.
