I've been searching for some time for a model of a crane in ho scale that matches the attached picture. I have seen the one from Jordan Products, but being a steam driven crane isn't quite what I'm looking for. I had sourced something in the past, but lost my source due to a computer crash and have been pulling my hair out the last two days trying to find this. Anyone know where I can look? Needs to fit the 50s/60s.

H.O. scale Crane

You can try Walthers/Life Like. They have a set that has a crane that is pretty close to the crane in the picture that you posted.   Kevin

You're looking for the Wiking cab, use it on the Jordan crawler base and perhaps use the Jordan boom as well unless the wiking crane is to your satisfaction.

I saw the wiking one, not a fantastic model. I can't believe there aren't more out there like this, I'm almost tempted to maybe bash one out of the cranes from custom finishing.

Yes, you will want to bash one.  The Cab you want, the wiking model will work just fine.  The rest of it, well, it's crude.  The Jordan model has great detail, if you can get it assembled, but the cab - it's a boiler affair.

So use the best of both!

Custom Finishing, they have a cable operated backhoe, it's cab maybe close. Sheepscot makes a solid Bucyrus Erie unit. They also make brass crane booms. It will get you started, stay away from lifelikes crane, it's way to toy like.Kibri had a Menck crane, also close, nice boom and rigging on that one. I'm not sure if it's still around.mike h.
