Springfield

I saw some, I think, at the Springfield Hobby Show, so they're out there.  If I can recall where I saw them, I'll post that.

Wheels of Time Piggy Packer, and transfer crane

Wheels of Time (http://www.wheelsotime.com/) has a Piggy Packer, for moving containers around on the ground, loading and unloading--haven't found the big transfer system yet.  Edit: Walthers offers a crane for transfering from truck to rail and vice-versa.  http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3222

A Smaller Port

A smaller port might not have a dedicated container crane. It might use an older and more generic cargo crane something like this.

Either way, just google "n scale cargo crane"  and search the images and you will find what you are looking for.

Possum : that generic cargo

Possum : that generic cargo crane is used to unload containers? I'm not into scatchbuild at the moment at least not to build a complex proyect like a crane.

Yup!

Some use a special attachment (as seen here) at the end of the hoist, others use a bridle which attaches to the four lift points on the top of the container.

Just about any crane can be used to unload containers, it is just that the dedicated container cranes are faster and more efficient.
