Guy wire locations

My experience is from logging so take it with several pounds of salt...

Spar trees had two sets of guys.  One set at the top and one set about halfway down the tree.  The top set kept the top of the tree in place and the middle set kept the tree from bowing and breaking.

To the rafters...

Terry, on many models they may connect to an eyebolt or other fixture on the top of the roof, simulating a bolt that on the prototype would be attached to the building's rafters.

Herronp, nice enginehouse!

Thanks....

.............it's a much reworked Banta Model Works Port Costa Roundhouse kit made to look more like it belongs in the Northeast.

Thanks fellas

I have to move, so the layout is coming down for a brief time. Looks like roughly halfway up the stack is right.

For reference...

These stacks are at a sawmill in Louisiana, (currently being preserved) size matters when it comes to the cables. (the power pole is a modern edition)
