Neat

What is the program you are designing with? I like the "trains" to help visualize. I'm thinking of modifying my switching layout and want to "try it out on paper" before I start tearing up and relaying track.

Using Third Planit

I've been using Third Planit.  Its ability to actually run trains is really the main reason I pay for it.  I can design a layout and run an ops session before I every build a thing.  Don't get the bridge crossing at the right height, it knocks the train off the track.  Lots of testing benefits that save the cost of the software many times over.

I highly recommend it, though it does have a long learning curve (as do most packages).

Wish there was a video beginner's training available on it.
