Daylight99

Hi everyone

I was finally able to upload a couple of my Daylight videos and thought I would share them with you. Video quality is so-so but I'm working on it.

I love that l-o-n-g Daylight train!

Bob:

Interesting videos, thanks for posting links to them!

Love that GS-4 with sound, and all those great looking Daylight cars. Can you tell us more about them, like who made them, what sound unit you're using - juicey stuff like that!

GS-4 Info and new video

I added one more video to the collection

The Daylight train is N scale and made by Kato USA. All the cars are correct right down to the triple articulated diner and the sound is a Soundtraxx Micro Tsunami.

Thanks Joe, I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Wow, N scale!

Bob:

N scale makes it even more impressive! N scale steam with sound is a real trick, and getting decent video of N scale equipment in action is especially tough. That's a good first attempt!

That's a gorgeous train, Bob.

Amazing!

And here I was going to verify that it was N scale. I can't believe it, just amazing. Your palm trees, how are they made? I'm modeling in HO and its hard to get a decent sized tree.

Palm Trees

Josh

The Palm Trees are made from Japanese pine (trunk), A craft rope called "Jute" (Beard), Cotton, twisted on top of the trunk like a "Q-Tip" and trimmed and shaped bird feathers for the palm fronds. The underside of the trees are painted Coach Brown and the top of the fronds are Coach Green.

Glad you enjoyed the videos, here's a new one

Dont know how you all do it.

It seems the older I get the higher the magification I require and the larger the scale I need to model. Really nice work Josh, especially in N-Scale.
