I am considering weathering some freight cars and in my "info gathering" there are recommendations about not using 100% solution of Isopropyl Alcohol as it strips paint!

I can only source 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol locally.

So my question is can I dilute with distilled water by volume to make 70% & 90%?

Thanks

Medical

Disinfecting pads typically contain a 60–70% solution of isopropyl alcohol in water. A 75% v/v solution in water may be used as a hand sanitizer. [12] Isopropyl alcohol is used as a water-drying aid for the prevention of otitis externa, better known as swimmer's ear. [13
