yardplan
I went to the Bower site, an advertiser listed as a new sponsor in the November 26 MRH email.

Bowser lists some PCC streetcar units described as dummy (-- souvenier --), priced under $40.00.  How can they be used in modeling prototype operation?  I didn't see any couplers.

Or are they just for display on yard track, in car barns, etc.?

Thanks ##

Add your own mechanism

Perhaps they are intended for the folks who want to add their own mechanism - using the NWSL or Bull Ant powered trucks, for example, or if you already have a suitable mechanism with a poor body.

I wish more models were offered as dummies.  Since so many cheap models benefit from remotoring anyway, I would just as soon not bother paying for the motor in the first place.

Other than the Double Ended PCC Cars the PCC was not Mu'ed

The PCC car was designed for city transit work with most of them being operated as independent units.  They don't fit in trains.

Now if once you have one, you can use it as flat car load and have either being delivered to your local transit company or it can be a thru load.  Your pick.
