I have a few Rapido CP style cabeese for my home layout. They are great to look at, highly detailed with interiors and lighting. They just don't like my Fast Track turnouts. I know the wheelsets have a plastic sleeve and need to be checked with a NMRA gauge. I do that often. They problem is that they like to get wedged in the frog, where the point rail forms a guardrail. My Intermountain wheels roll thru them like water, and never an issue on a 200+ ore car fleet. Are the Rapido wheels wider? Is there a solid axle insulated wheelsets available? Anybody else have issues with these models? I'd like to keep them as my standard caboose, but can't stand the wheels lighting out of the frog and bouncing the car,or even derailing at every frog. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thomas G.

Have you considered replacing the axles and wheels?

Maybe you could try another set of wheels?  Try it as a test.

Hmm

I haven't got any turnouts in HO, but I do have 3 of these cabeese.  Might have to track some down, but it seems odd that we've never heard of this issue before now as they've been out for a couple years.  All of them do the same thing?  And I assume you've checked your turnouts to ensure they meet NMRA specs?  Have you tried contacting Rapido directly?  They are always good responding to these concerns and may have a quick solution for you.
