Never had a turntable before. I've been working on my extension room layout.

This room is modeled after the UP Turntable, Rail Shop. Depot Station. In Cheyenne, WY

Its the Walthers 130' DCC Turntable.

What's that B&O engine doing out in Wyoming?

That's one big turntable!  Looks good, though.  I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the scene.

I just kitbashed and installed a brackdrop roundhouse. Since I don't have rooom for a full working roundhouse, I decided to make a backdrop building of one.

I used the extra parts I have from the RailRoad Shop kit.

Here is the prototype photo of the UP Steam Shops in Cheyenne.

Been making some good

Been making some good progress. I'm almost done with the Railroad Shop.

Still need to add the crane and lights, then the roof. After I finish the shop, I will get the ballast down. I'll be using sand mixed with some grey fine ballast, then weather it with black oil stains. Same process I did for my yard.

Good Hobby Shops

I am looking for some good hobby shops that have HO trains and are decently priced around Somonauk,IL. I am working on my grandpa's train table. i am looking for things like lighted buildings, machine sheds, scenery, model vehicles, and other things. He built this table completely and made most everything. i want to add buildings and scenery to his table. please let me know where some good hobby shops are or if anyone has anything they have and want to sell let me know.
