What would a railroad shop from the 1880's look like?  I'm talking about the shops that rebuild and overhaul steam locomotives, not the roundhouses that do running repairs.  I'm contemplating an older shop, still in use, either in the 1920's or modern--I'm still torn on what I'll be doing for my layout.  (I'm contemplating a layout that can, in part, be used for either era with relatively little redressing.)

Early Shop In Colorado

Near the round house the Colorado Midland in the early days had separate stone buildings housing the Machine Shop, Oil Shop, Boiler shop, Boiler (where the boilers were retubed),  Room (power) and Paint shop.
