I post this again because I would like to have contact with others actually using Surroundtraxx at this time December 2012.

I would be pleased to hear about other modelers' successes or frustrations with the Surroundtraxx experience. Doug Fredericton, N.B.

I have 2 locos that utilize

I have 2 locos that utilize soundtraxx decoders. The first one is a Proto 2000 E8 that uses the older LC sound decoder while the other, a Kato SD70 MAC utilizes the new Tsunami style decoder. Both work well and reliably. I prefer the Tsunami decoder over the old one as it operates and sounds better. No complaints.......

That's SURROUNDTRAXX Not Soundtraxx

Unless I misunderstood the OP wants to discuss the new SurroundTraxx system, not soundtraxx decoders. [smile]

I should be wiring the layout for SurroundTraxx next week.  After Friday this week I have the rest of the month off.  The wife is visiting family, so I'm working on the railroad.  I would like to pick your brain since you have already done this.

Pleased to hear from you. I will attempt to answer any questions that you may have. Just ask.

The.  ' Surroundtrax'   site within Yahoo Groups has a wealth of information on this topic. Check the posts and files to retrieve the info. 

I wish you the best with your project. You will find the final results with Surroundtraxx to be very exciting.

SurroundTraxx is a product of SoundTraxx. Hence the similarity. No legal issues here.
