I believe it was around the

I believe it was around the year 2000 that this came into effect. From the information i have found there was a case made against the company from and employee claiming heatstroke in the cab of a csx locomotive. To this end all of the units had their roofs painted white instead of all units being fitted with air conditioners to reduce the amount of heat inside the cab. Dan
