Issue 2 LITE Permissions glitch ... but fixed now

Sat, 2009-04-11 12:43 — joef
We had a permissions glitch that prevented most logged in subscribers from accessing the Issue 2 LITE download page - but it's fixed now.
When I log in as our low-level test user, he can get to the download page now, but kept getting a "you can't access this page" error before with a guy making an ugly face before.
Otherwise, the site's handling the load very well, and the downloads are proceeding well.
Much better than Issue 1's launch!

Preview Crash on Mac ...
Joe,
Downloaded MRH-2009-Q2-Mac.pdf. File details show file security method as "password encrypted", don't know if that is important or not.
Preview crashes. Error log includes "Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)."
I am using Mac OS 10.5.6 and Preview 4.1.
Hope you can help,
Brian
That's a known bug and our bad ...
That's a known bug with Adobe PDFs on Macs with the latest release of the Adobe tools. We are supposed to create a non-encryped version and upload that - but it looks like we uploaded the wrong version.
Give us about 15 minutes and then try the download again - we're uploading the non-encryped Mac version now.
