Words just don't say enough

Gary

As an modeller living in Australia that has never been to the USA from what I have seen on prototype video you have captured a very realistic representation on your layout. I really enjoyed the 2 videos, i am sure that there was so much more to your layout and operating system that was not shown.

If a DVD on your layout was ever produced there would be one in my collection i'm sure you could produce enough footage to fill it easly and the viewer would not be bored.

Great job on the layout it is a credit to you.

I like both layouts....

I like both layouts. I think the size of the layout or the type of operation is all a matter of prefference and I appriciate all aspects of "modeling" layouts and diaramas for multiple purposes. Some people build layouts just so they can have multiple vantages and types of scenery for photography and I think thats awesome. I was recently thinking of making a display case for my trains and incorperating some sort of scenery just to give my trains more life and purpose.

Both layouts look great and I have to say from where I'm sitting those guys on the L&N look like they are having a fun time and I hope to see more footage of their layout soon. Thanks for the teasers!

clubbing

nice films both of them gave me a new insight to joining a club. Thats something hard to find around here in Rome Ga. Anything close to me is usually "n" scale and I do HO.. So I never been to a club and always wanted to know how they are ran. these videos gave me some good insight. I'm just a freelancer and get most of my enjoyment out of building, modeling and the detail work...Of corse I do my share of keeping my tracks busy. I usually run three to four trains at a time with eight to fifteen cars. I use Bachmans wireless system "Dynamis". It works very well for what I need. Once my set is complete it will only run about Fifteen trains at a time and thier system allows me to store 9,999 codes and run up to 400 trains at the same time, which I know i'll never get they high lol,  Anyway thanks for the insight I sure would like to see more, learn more about being in a club and how they run in turn of members. Yours is very detailed (realistic) and thats what I'm into. Maybe one day I could visit. Send me an invitation I would love to come.....Thanks Teekaho...

Dont let that stop you

Don't let that stop you.. its all model railroading. When I was in N scale i belonged to an HO club and enjoyed having something different to work with on the club layout. Perhaps it would be an exception if it were a modular club. I could understand not wanting to be diverted to building a module in another scale although I think I would enjoy that.

Chris that's something I never thought of!

There are two "N" Scale clubs within 20 to 30 miles of my house and Both are less then 2 years old. One just got settled in a 25ft X 45ft Club house and they are buying materials to start the layout.

The other is a MOD club where each member builds his own mod and has to build to specs set up my the club.

I have been invited to join the newest of the two clubs as they are just getting started and a friend of mine suggested to them My skill in construction would be a lot of help.

I haven't given them an answer yet as I have been thinking about it for a little less than a week. All my trains are HO Scale. I thought it would be strange to be putting money into a smaller scale but it might be fun for awhile anyway.

Thanks Chris cool Idea I might just join for the fun of it and at only $25.00 for a year membership I sure won't go broke. Unless I start buying some of those $500.00 "N" Scale Diesels.

Great Videos

Excellent videos with lots of ideas that can be applied to even a small layout. Thanks for taking the effort to produce them.
