This layout is a classic example of how detailed and modeler worthy this scale and gage/gauge can be. I truly think this layout is a great and maybe perfect example of S scale craftsmanship. I rank Ed's layout up there with the classics such as Delta lines(2 rail O scale) and the Gore and Daphetid(Ho scale). Hope some more S discoveries appear in MRH in the future.

Mr Loizeaux's layout is a true inspiration to me. I have a PBL boxcar waiting to be finished and this article sent me straight to the bench.

Thanks Ed and Charlie

Nice layout I have red about the hi speed water scope for filling the tender but I have never seen one modeled and in "S" Gauge at that. The river on the up grade illusion is a nice touch. I wouldn't mind seeing a video of an Op session on this Railroad.

The Delta Lines was outside third rail like John Armstrong's layout.

Ed's layout is a fine example of what can be achieved in the hobby, regardless of scale. That he's managed to do so much so well in 1:64 is the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing, Ed.
